Filling in the blanks - day 10

~~~
It's Wednesday and day 10 of my fill-in-the-blanks journal experiment.  I wrote this post yesterday in anticipation of a visit from my mom today.  She'll be staying for a few days and, truth be told, I'm a little nervous about it because . . . um . . . where will I put all the clutter?
I'm not only referring to the material clutter -- although there is so, so much of it -- but also to the personality clutter that my little family of four has going on and that we're not used to sharing with others, even other family members.  Like all the caving I do while trying to put the kids to bed -- "okay, five more minutes . . . " -- and the way that the husband and I glue ourselves to our respective computers most nights after the kids go to bed and silence ensues.  Or the way we studiously ignore the phone whenever it rings.  Or the fact that discussions about odious bodily functions are perfectly acceptable subjects for discussion at the dinner table.
You can bet that as you read this, I am doing my best to hide the clutter and fashion a list of appropriate topics for discussion at mealtime.
Today's page includes the usual (or slightly unusual, depending on how you look at it) to-do list . . .
and a lightning round inspired by the end of the school year . . .
The full page looks like this . . .
and is available here.  Tell me, what's your best memory of school?
  2. Thanks, Aimee! For me, it's lined paper and an apple for the teacher. (Always had trouble breaking the rules. Working on that!)
