Mid-July journal page

Update: The journal page in this post is no longer available for download. For a selection of free, printable journal pages, please visit my Printable Journal Pages collection.

~~~
Sometimes when I'm colouring the border on a new page, getting it ready to photograph, the joints in my knuckles will start to ache and I'll realize that I'm gripping the marker with ridiculously unnecessary force.  Ditto for the pen on my pen tablet when I'm drawing new borders.
Sometimes when I hug the kids, I'll realize (or they'll tell me with a yelp) that I'm squeezing too hard.
Sometimes when I'm thinking about new prompts or searching for quotes, I'll realize that I'm clenching my teeth together so hard that my head is beginning to throb.
Holding on pretty tight over here.  Not wanting any of it to slip away before I've had the chance to breathe it in, write it down, snap a quick shot, and give thanks for every moment, every smile, every kind word, every connection.
Love this place and so happy to be back with a new journal page.  Now if I could only get it to sit still for a second . . .
There we go.  Sort of.
You'll find the mid-July journal page here (border-free and waiting for your creative embellishments) and here (with a colour-free border, waiting for your colourful embellishments) and here (with a colourful border and still plenty of room for your creative extras).
Happy weekend, friends!
  6. Instead of clenching our teeth, why don't we sit down with a pitcher of iced tea, shrimp cocktail, naan and garlic bread to savor the moment (and the goodies). ;-)
    Hope summer is treating you well!
  10. Domestic Scribbles - give the time, place and date and I'm there! And Christie - if you watch for tightening in my jaw, I'll do the same for you. What is that all about, anyway? My mom told me once that she caught herself doing it and then stopped. I don't know how she did that! I love the way you put the photos in of the page blowing around. It can be awfully hard to get a good photo to share and you've done so well. Now we know what you go through at times. As always, your journal page is delightful and appreciated.
  14. ok, so I printed all your journal pages, and I'm going to use them in my classroom this year. I teach HS English. Please tell me you're going to continue making them everyday?
    What program do you use to make them and how do you decide what to put on them each day? (that way I can make some just in case you stop making them!) haha :)
    Thanks.
