Are you having trouble downloading my pages?

Okay, so I am starting to worry a little here.  I've received a couple of emails in the past few days from readers who haven't been able to download any of my pages.

I've tried just now in Firefox and Explorer and there doesn't seem to be a problem, but I'd love to hear from anyone who can't access my pages.  If you let me know what works and what doesn't, I'm sure we'll be able to come up with a solution that works for everyone.

  6. I couldn't download the bookmark last week but was able to just now. I assumed it was my problem and nobody else's so thanks for letting me know.

  9. Kristie - I'm worried that there are others like you who are having trouble, but wondering whether it's just them, so thanks so much for your comment. If you continue having problems, I'd love to hear from you, either with a comment or via email!

Miranda who? Just kidding! Hello stranger. I've missed you too since you moved far, far away. :) And I totally did mention the blog, albeit in an extremely cryptic manner. Way back then, I was conflicted about people I knew in real life reading the things I could write about, but not talk about. Anyhoo, I'm going to Google you now and see if I can't drum up your email address. Looking forward to reconnecting!

  11. Christie,
I LOVE your journal pages, but I can't open most of them. They pop up in googledocs and then when I try to download them it tells me I don't have access to them. I've never encountered this before so I'm a little baffled by it all. Have shown your blog to many friends over the last month and they all love reading and following you! Hope the download problem gets worked out as I would love to use these journal pages. They are very inspirational and I appreciate all of your hard work in creating them!

  12. LOVE your work! I've been trying to download your notes to self and have not been able to. A pop-up box states: Internet Explorer cannot download …0NTg5LTk4Y… docs.gooleusercontent.com.
Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later.

  13. Tess -- That's so odd. Access seems to be quite spotty. Some people have no trouble at all and others have quite a bit of trouble. Can you give me a sense of which pages won't open? Is it the more recent ones or older ones?

  14. Hi Anonymous - So frustrating! Sorry about that. To make matters even more confusing, I just downloaded the notes to self in Internet Explorer without any difficulty. I'm not sure what to do, except perhaps finding a different place to host my pdfs. Something I'll be looking into.

  15. I've had no problems downloading except once (I meant to come back and try again later, and forgot to do it). We have this problem sometimes in a Yahoo! group I'm in...it has something to do with demand being really high there at that moment, and it clears up when demand slows. I hope you find the problem, and keep on sharing as you're able. I just love your work! Btw, I have a Mac & use Safari 10.

  16. Hi Christie! Life has been hectic for me, so I've had your recent posts starred in my reader (sorry). I just went and downloaded; however, the notes to self, I was unable to access. I think I've only had this problem one other time.
As always, love your pages, and glad you're back!

  18. I don't have problems downloading, but I can only do it from home. My firewall at work blocks me from accessing Google docs...

  19. Hi there - I love your blog! I have downloaded and used your wonderful journal pages before, but I seem to be having a problem with the bookmark. I'm using Internet Explorer and it says it can't open the site - it is either unavailable or not found. I will keep trying though! Love your suff - great work!

  20. Hey, hope all is well for you. I tried to print the bookmarks but had trouble. Didn't notify you as I have so many floating around my house, wasn't sure I really needed to add to them, however much I wanted yours. The problem may be with my computer, do you think? I get an error message when I try to print. Ahh, you are so creative. Thanks!!!

  21. Hi Chris, Amy, Laura, Hungry Crafter, Anonymous and Makellar!

Chris - Thanks so much for your input. It's great to know that you've been able to download using Safari! Thanks too for the info about high demand. I've been wondering if it's just a combination of issues, and perhaps demand is one of those contributing issues.

Amy - That's the great thing about readers - they keep your posts for you when life gets hectic! I think I'll try uploading the bookmark and notes to self again and see if that makes a difference.

Laura - Love to hear good news! Thanks so much!

Hungry Crafter - Firewalls - that's another issue that I think might be making it difficult for some people to download. I remember seeing a link somewhere on Google with proper computer settings for downloading. I'm going to find it and put it up here! Thanks for the reminder!

Anonymous and Makellar - Thanks so much for your comments! I'll try re-uploading the bookmark and see if it makes a difference.

  22. I am having some trouble with a few of your journal pages (35, 37 and 38); the Google doc opened for me to view/print, but I was unable to download copies to my computer (the option to do so wasn't even there.) I am using the Chrome browser, if that matters. All the rest of your downloads have worked fine for me.

  23. As an edit to my above comment:

Pages 40-43 do the same thing as 35, 37 and 38. (The Google doc opens for me to view/print, but I can't download copies to my computer (the option to do so isn't even there.)

  24. No problem accessing and downloading the Google docs. Just click on the 'file' option at the left and choose to download original. When it pops up, save it as a pdf.

Thanks so much for all of these, you are so amazingly artistic!
