Watercolour-in-progress

I've masked off two birds and a branch, and painted two layers for the background.  One layer left to go, I think, before my painting class tomorrow.  Then I'll be able to remove the masking medium and start on the birds.

At some point, I'm going to start to feel more comfortable with the process -- things like composition, colour mixing, and brushstrokes -- but for now, I'm happy enough playing with those glorious colours.

What are you up to?

  1. This looks lovely so far. Painting is something I've never tried and don't feel I'd have much talent for. I've been knitting mittens and hats for charity. Seems funny to be knitting items like that when the weather's so beautiful but I'll have a good supply to donate come next winter.

  3. oh man ... I'm up to not much :( I got subdomains prepared, and favicons set in place ... and have done some work with labels and tags, but it's exhausting and I get distracted. Oy!!

Can't wait to see your birds!

    1. Hi Naomi! It sounds exhausting. :) It's the dull stuff you have to do before you can get on with the exciting stuff. Cannot wait to see it up and running!
