(Hmm, this place looks awfully familiar. Can't quite put my finger on it, but . . . )
The thing is, I've always liked the look of Grace is Overrated. It lets you know exactly what you're in for when you see my journal pages -- wonky lettering, bright colours, guided journal adventures, etc.
So, after months of fiddling with fancy fonts and graphics that didn't look anything like my work, I ended up back where I started. There is so much about this journey that I want to hold onto that I decided to bring it with me, including my blog posts and much of the sidebar.
In the end, there was only a short list of things I wanted to do differently this time around. A new name was at the top of the list. It has become increasingly difficult to explain how, exactly, the name Grace is Overrated relates to journaling. Adventures in Guided Journaling pretty much says it all and it matches up with my shop name, my Facebook page and, soon, my Pinterest page.
Also, I've taken down my original set of free, printable journal pages. Don't worry, they aren't gone forever; they're simply awaiting re-purposing. When you click the link to my printable journal pages now, you'll find the set that I started just over a year ago. They're updates of the first six original pages. I've learned so much since I posted that very first journal page almost four years ago. It's really important to me that all of the learning and tweaking and soul-searching I've experienced along the way is reflected in my printables, so I'll continue to update and add to the new set as often as I can.
I've also added a new sidebar link for my printable journal pages for kids. If pages for kids interest you, you might want to pop on over because there are two new pages there that I haven't posted before.
Here's a sneak peek:
I'll also be adding new pages for kids from time to time and I'll be posting sets for kids in the shop.
So, to sum up: Welcome to the new blog! I have lots of surprises in store and I hope you'll continue to follow along!
The new pages look really good. I can't wait until my little guy is old enough to work on these.
