Springtime doodles - part 3: A new inspiration page!

As soon as those springtime doodles arranged themselves into a page border, I thought it might be fun to add them to an inspiration page. This one is all about joy. The good stuff, big and small. The stuff that delights you in the moment and the stuff that nourishes you over a lifetime.

The thing I like best about lists is that the more I write, the more things pop to mind. You can write it up all at once or add an entry here and there, as the mood strikes. If you find that there aren't enough lines, just print out another copy and keep right on going. And don't forget to look back on your list from time to time. It might just brighten your day.

As always, there's a colour-free version . . .

and a colourful one:
You'll find them here (colour-free) and here (colourful). Happy Friday, friends!

Springtime doodles continued

I've made a few additions to those doodles from yesterday and turned them into a page border. Here's a sneak peek screen capture from my computer:

It's a little different than my usual journal page border design, but it has been fun to try something new. Best of all, it has given me all sorts of inspiration, which I think I'd like to pass along. As soon as I can manage it, I'll post a little something new with these doodles, just for you. I hope you'll stay tuned!

Springtime doodles

After a long winter, it finally feels like spring in my little corner of southern Ontario. (Just in time for summer, of course.) There are blossoms and blooms everywhere I look. It's warm outside and the sun has returned from wherever it goes all winter.

I was sitting at the computer, working on the next set of journal pages, and I felt like doodling. I felt like doodling about spring -- even though it's almost over -- and I thought I'd show you what I've come up with so far.

I drew a dainty little "spring" . . .

... and a few flowers. (I tried them in a line, then in a group, then with colour.)

So far, my favourite combination is below. I'm going to play with it a little more, add some leaves and some different shapes and see where I end up. It might be fun to add a journal prompt. What do you think? I've got a couple of options in mind. I'll keep you posted!

A Guided Journaling Starter Kit for Kids

I've just listed a new set of journal pages in the shop. For kids! This one's a Starter Kit -- it includes 5 new journal pages, plus a cover page, a contents page, and an About the Journaler page.

The new pages have the same look and design as my free, printable pages for kids, so you and your child can try the pages here on the blog and then, if you enjoy them, you can consider adding the Starter Kit for Kids to your collection.

Here's a sneak peek at the new pages, which are offered as colourful and colour-free versions:

I hope you'll love them!

Happy Friday!

Still working on those new journal pages for kids. Also still doodling here and there. Hope your weekend is lovely!

A little bit of colour

I've almost finished a new set of journal pages for kids. This set will be a lot like my starter kit, but for kids! If all goes well, I'll be posting it in the shop next week.

In the meantime, I'm still fiddling with watercolour when I need a break. Happy weekend, friends!
